We exist between the selkies and the stars.
This collection is inspired by life on our planet and beyond. The element of silver is only produced by dying stars. Every piece of silver on earth has been part of a star, dead but yet still bringing magic to wearers and givers.
And then there are the selkies, they live on both the land and the sea, between human and aquatic beastie.
And we are somewhere between. Carrying the memories of those who went before us, hopefully inspiring those who we will leave behind.
Do you know where silver comes from?
Space! The rare event of a star dying creates the element of silver. It is the most reflective of all the elements - so still shines like the star it once was. Ag is the elemental symbol.
Do you know what a selkie is?
Mainly from Celtic folklore, it's said that the selkies can shapeshift between seal or a human. It is also a Scots word for a seal!
Silversmithing
This is the forming of shapes in silver using traditional tools and methods. Silver can be infinitely recycled so what you are wearing now could be around for a very long time.
